About the Piece
Periods are often seen as dirty and unclean by those who are not well informed of the menstrual cycle's purpose. This piece is meant to capture the beauty of menstrual cycles and show how it is a natural part of life. The figure lays peacefully under a pomegranate tree, immersed in nature.
About Mo Naegely
My name is Mo and I am a sophomore at Ramapo College studying Art Therapy. My goal is to help people with the power of art. I have always loved art and found it to be a very freeing form of expression. On my path of learning how to help others I would one day love to help domestic violence survivors and recovering addicts. Art holds no judgements against people despite what they have been through, it is truly a beautiful thing.
Mo lives in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
