Rachael Glashan Rupisa
Rachael Glashan Rupisan is the Executive Director of the Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice, an organization dedicated to advancing gender justice through the lens of history and place, inspired by the legacy of suffragist Alice Paul. She joined the Center in 2019, where she has expanded its mission to highlight the intersection of gender rights with historical contexts and the significance of location in shaping social change.
Known for her transformative leadership style, Rachael fosters an inclusive, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment. She empowers teams to think critically about the intersection of gender justice with culture and history, encouraging innovation and community-driven solutions. Prior to her role at the Alice Paul Center, Rachael was recognized as a leader in nonprofit growth, serving on influential committees such as Dance USA’s National Host Committee, the New Jersey History Conference Planning Committee, and the Philadelphia 250 Women’s Committee. She also serves on the board of the Leah Stein Dance Company. Rachael is a member of the Forum for Executive Women in Philadelphia and serves on its Pay Equity Committee, where she works to advance gender equity in the workplace.
Through her leadership, she continues to champion women and girls by connecting advocacy efforts to the history and places that shape our shared experience, inspiring lasting change and empowering voices across communities.
