What is the #FREEDOMTOBLEED?

The "freedom to bleed" is the ability to handle menstruation with dignity and without stress. In a world with the freedom to bleed, all people who menstruate will have free and easy access to menstrual products in their homes, at their schools and universities, in workplaces, and in businesses. This is a future that is within our reach.

At Flow Forward NJ, we believe that the freedom to bleed is a HUMAN RIGHT. All people deserve access to hygiene products, menstrual products included, worldwide.

Flow Forward NJ is making the #FREEDOMTOBLEED
possible in New Jersey.

Take the “Menstruation at NJ Colleges and Universities” Survey by Flow Forward NJ and Aunt Flow

If you are a college student in New Jersey, you can now take Flow Forward NJ and Aunt Flow’s “Menstruation at NJ Colleges and Universities” survey! This survey asks students to describe their perceptions around and experiences with menstruation as a college student. It is our hope this survey will help showcase to New Jersey officials that period poverty must be considered a priority in the Garden State, and that colleges and universities across the state should be providing menstrual products.

Results from the survey will be compiled into a report on our website in late 2024.

Consider Donating Today

Our research at Rowan University revealed 44% of students experience period poverty, much higher than the 14% national average. There is still no picture of how period poverty affects New Jersey as a whole. We can change that, but only with your help. Donate today to help us conduct new research across the state, provide menstrual products to those in need, and more.
